What may happen if ASUU should go for another strike

THE CURRENT SITUATION OF STUDENTS OF THE NIGERIAN PUBLIC UNIVERSITY.

So many students are confuse on what will happen if the Academic staff union of Universities (ASUU) embarks on another strike. Below I will list some of the traps students will fall in when ASUU decide to go on another strike.

1. AFFECTING THE STUDENTS PSYCHOLOGY

You see most students are eager to get done with their degree program, most of them know that there may not be a jobs available when they are done with their degree program yet they strive day and night to see that they make their parents proud.

Most of the students do not even like the courses they study but they still try to earn the degree since it has become a MUST in the Nigerian society. So, another strike may discourage this tudents and lower morale about school.

2. PEER PRESSURE

You see on the contrary students of the same age and capabilities from the private Universities or abroad, sometimes even less talented as the ones in public Universities graduate on time and easily grab the rarely available jobs in the labour market. This alone demoralizes the students studying in the public Universities in Nigeria.

3. SHIFTING FROM A STANDARD SYSTEM OF EDUCATION TO A LOWER ONE THAT CAN GIVE THEM THE CERTIFICATE EASILY.

The strike, is mostly why a lot of students from the nigerian public University students run away to other countries with lower quality educational system to get degrees without stress and delay.

4. HIGH DROP OUT RATE

Most of the students are tired, some are entrepreneurs, some are already working with their lower certificate e.g SSCE, Diploma, NCE, e.t.c

But the main thing that may cause this to happen, is the current economic situation of the country. Most of this students and their parents, have little or no source of income. So when they deem the educational system to be expensive and time wasting, they may decide to drop out to learn a skill or get a job that provides their daily bread.

5. HIGH CRIME RATE

Only the sensible once amongst those that drop out of school may think of learning a skill or find a fitting job. The lazy ones amongst them may turn to crime to provide for their basic needs e.g kidnapping, robbery, banditry and terrorism e.t.c.

NATURE OF LEARNING

Learning occupies a very important place in our life. Most of what we do or do not is influenced by what we learn and how we learn. Learning, therefore, provides a key to the structure of our personality and behavior. An individual starts learning immediately after his birth or in a strict sense even earlier in the womb of the mother.   Experience direct or indirect is found to play a dominant role in moulding and shaping the behavior of the individual from the very beginning. When he touches a burning matchstick the child gets burnt, and next time, when he comes across the burning matchstick, he loses no time in withdrawing from it. He learns to avoid not only the burning matchstick but also all burning things. When this happens we say that the child has learned that if one touches a flame, one gets burnt.  However, this term has not always been interpreted in the Same way by the numerous thinkers and psychologists as may be seen from the following definitions: Gardner...

How to dispose your teeth in islam

Many people wonder what to do with their teeth when they have them removed or when they lose a tooth. Many have heard stories of tooth fairies coming to pick up your tooth beneath your pillows and replace it with a gift right, these are just stories for kids. In Islam, when a fellow lose a tooth or have two or more removed, that individual is adviced to have them buried. In Islam it is recommended for a Muslim to bury anything that is being removed from a livingthing e.g nails, blood, hair and also teeth is not an exception. scholars concur that it is the habitual practice of the Muhammad (SAW).
