ASUU STRIKE: ASUU to go on 1 month warning strike

A reliable source at the just concluded National Executive Council (NEC) meeting of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has confided that the union resolved to embark on one-month “comprehensive and total” strike to compel the Nigerian government to acede its requests.

Recall that the union has been agitating for a number of demands including the payment of Earned Academic Allowance, revitalization fund, the replacement of the Integrated Personnel Payroll Information System, IPPIS, with the University Transparency and Accountability System UTAS, among others.

MINISTRY OF EDUCATION TO ARREST PEOPLE WITH FAKE DEGREES

The Education Minister of Nigeria Tahir Mamman said that security agencies will soon be directed to go after individuals with fake university certificates in the country.
