Just in: Fire guts another Abuja market

Fire

Barely three weeks after the popular Kubwa ultra modern market was gutted by fire, killing at least 10 persons, the Nyanya market in the Federal Capital Territory FCT minister also went up in flames on Tuesday night.

While the source of the fire which started around 8pm was not immediately known. The explosion was believed to have been caused by adulterated kerosene.

The incident sparked panic as traders and shoppers ran for their lives just as the blast lifted up the kerosene tank and landed it on the roof of a shoes and bag shop which was also destroyed.

Our correspondents learnt that the incident occurred shortly before 7pm when traders were trying to close for the day.

The sudden explosion consumed two shops while many roadside traders were also affected.

Though the fire had been put out, objects believed to be woods and food items were still smouldering when our correspondents visited the scene.

The scene was also littered with vegetables, tomatoes, pepper and other produce.

You suffered before you got to where you are today does not mean others too have to suffer to get to where they want to be tomorrow, especially family and friends. Give out hand out to your relatives and close friends and any other person out there you can help. Remember you can only be truly successfull if you have made others become successfull. Still can not say that they are not those who yearn for change. Help as many as you can because that's all that matters in the end. You die today all that you have will be shared amongst your offspring which can be squandered in a day and they may still forget you. But the people you help will remember you till they die.
